Thanks to everyone who came out and helped with the Club’s Reverse Drawing. It was a great time and a great success. Please make a note that we have a reverse drawing for Hugo VFD on Saturday, September 20th. Please make sure you can come on out and help serve. We also have 2 banquets that we will need help with serving. The Woodmen of the World Awards Banquet is on Thursday, September 4th, and the LCPS Teacher of the Year Banquet is on Tuesday, September 23. Thanks for all that all of you do.
Our Units will be going to SASA in Pigeon Forge, TN, from September 25th thru the 27th. Good luck on competition in the Parade. We are very proud of what you do. Thanks.
Our November 14-15 Ceremonial is coming up and ad sales instructions and receipt books will be ready for pickup at the General Meeting in September. Nobles Cale Grady and Joey Bryan will be discussing the Ceremonial at the meeting also. Please come on out so we can let everyone know what is going on and what the plans are so we can have the best ceremonial ever.
Due to popular demand, we will be having Friday Night Fish Fry on Friday, September 5th and then again in October on Friday the 3rd.. Please tell all of you family and friends. This is open to the public. The time is from 5:30 until 8:00, and the price is $6 for all you can eat of great fried fish, french fries, slaw, hush puppies and iced tea. Take out plates are available. Remember all of the proceeds go to the Future Potentate’s Fund for our very own Captain of the Guard, Noble Cale Grady.
In an effort to promote Masonic Unity and introduce Master Masons to the Shrine fraternity, Sudan is offering a “Half Day” special Ceremonial at a reduced price this coming September 13, 2008. Please see the bulletin board in the club lounge for the details, or go to Sudan’s website at http://www.sudanshriners.com/upcomingevents.html and look under upcoming events, and click on the Cold Sands Ceremonial information listing. Also, some brochures are available on the bar in the club lounge.
The cooking crewmembers for Stag Night in September will be Nobles Ross King, Dred Mitchell and Paul Bullard. The Shrinette's Hor D'ourves committee in September Ladies Ann Daughety, Ann Speight and Jamie Grady. Please make sure and thank them on regular meeting night for a job well done.
